The other day my favorite site for cards and invitations was having a one day only 50% off sale, so I quickly designed and ordered Wilson’s birthday party invitations because, ten months might as well be twelve.
Likes: We got the push walkers out of storage (Gus is having way more fun with them then he ever did as a baby, just like every baby toy we rediscover) and Wilson is not only cruising around the house with one or the other he’s PUSHING Gus around on them as well.
Dislikes: Diaper changes continue to be an exercise in patience and upper body strength (for me) and escape artistry (for Wilson).
Sleep: Even a what I’d consider a bad night now is waaaayyy better than what a good night was with a newborn. But the combo of a sleep regression with teething troubles after months of pretty regular/dependable sleep is hard for everyone.
Eating: We’re introducing more and more table food in addition to our regular purees and yogurts. Wilson loves veggie straws, graham crackers, rice, cheese, carrots and sweet potatoes, chicken, and sherbet.
Clothes: Mostly in 18 month stuff, even though some of the length is a little long. 12 month stuff is really too short though.
New Tricks: We’ve seen a few more legitimate waves hello, and he’s standing independently all the time. I keep waiting for him to take a few steps but he always seems to change his mind at the last minute and crawl. I fully expect him to walk before his birthday, but I guess time will tell. We also just spent a few days at the beach, so Wilson got to experience the sand (delicious!) and surf (unimpressed!) for the first time, AND we’ve officially graduated to the big tub with big brother for bathtime.
Nicknames: Wilsy, Wilbur, Wils.
Teeth: God I hate teething. We’ve got two on the bottom, and two on the top with a third SOOOO CLOSE it should be along any day now. Tooth tally: 4
